This online course introduces you to the requirements of the Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL) and the Chain of Responsibility which promotes and supports the safe and productive transport of goods and people by heavy vehicles. This course provides an overview of the Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL) and Regulations, Chain of Responsibility (CoR) primary duties and obligations to ensure so far as is reasonably practicable the safety of your transport activities and an on outline of the Supply Chain parties under the Chain of Responsibility (CoR).

This course includes the requirements and obligations under the Heavy Vehicle National Law and Chain of Responsibility (CoR) Responsibilities of supply chain parties for fatigue management, speed compliance, load restraint, mass and dimension and heavy vehicle safety and roadworthiness and the roles and responsibilities of all parties in the Supply Chain responsibilities including: consignor, loading manager, loader/unloader, packer, prime contractor, employer, scheduler, operator, driver, consignee and executive officer.

This course provides an understanding the alignment of the Heavy Vehicle National Law with the model Work Health & Safety (WHS) legislation, and enforcement provisions including on-road compliance inspections and the levels of Breach Categories.
