Description
This course outlines the requirements of the Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL) and the Chain of Responsibility and provides an overview of the Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL) and Regulations, Chain of Responsibility (CoR) primary duties and obligations to ensure so far as is reasonably practicable the safety of the transport activities and an outline of the Supply Chain parties under the Chain of Responsibility (CoR).

What the course covers
• The requirements and obligations under the Heavy Vehicle National Law and Chain of Responsibility (CoR) Responsibilities of supply chain parties.
• The roles and responsibilities of all parties in the Supply Chain responsibilities including: consignor, loading manager, loader/unloader, packer, prime contractor, employer, scheduler, operator, driver, consignee and executive officer.
• The requirements and obligations under the Heavy Vehicle National Law and Chain of Responsibility (CoR) Responsibilities for:
o Fatigue Management
o Speed Compliance
o Load restraint and Loading
o Mass and dimension limits
o Vehicle Standards
• The HVNL alignment with model Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) legislation and Safety Management Systems, and Reasonably Practicable.
• Chain of Responsibility: How is it enforced?
• Chain of Responsibility: Breach Categories, Offences and Penalties
