Description
This course outlines the requirements of the Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL) and the Chain of Responsibility and provides an overview of the Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL) and Regulations, Chain of Responsibility (CoR) primary duties and obligations to ensure so far as is reasonably practicable the safety of the transport activities and an outline of the Supply Chain parties under the Chain of Responsibility (CoR).
This course outlines the requirements and obligations of Fatigue Management, Speed Compliance, Heavy Vehicle Standards, Mass and dimension limits, Safe loading and the legal requirements, and the methods and techniques designed to support safer loading and load restraint practices.
What the course covers:
Module 1. Fatigue and Speed– This module includes the Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL) and Regulations requirements and obligations for Fatigue Management and Speed Compliance.
Module 2. Heavy Vehicle Standards, Mass and Dimension Limits – This Module includes the Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL) and Regulations requirements and obligations for Vehicle Standard which includes practical solutions and the key elements of managing the risks of Heavy Vehicle Safety and Roadworthiness compliance, and the requirements of the Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL) and Regulations requirements and obligations for Mass and Dimension Limits.
Module 3. Loading - This module includes the requirements of the Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL) and Regulations requirements and obligations for Loading and includes an introduction to Safe loading and the legal requirements, the methods techniques designed to support safer loading and load restraint practices which are based on the on the National Heavy Vehicles Regulator’s Loading Guides which are designed to support safer loading and load restraint practices.

• Module 1. Fatigue and Speed approximately 45 minutes to complete.
• Module 2. Heavy Vehicle Standards, Mass and Dimension Limits approximately 30 minutes to complete.
• Module 3. Loading approximately 75 minutes to complete.
Certificate - Upon successful completion of the three Modules and the assessment questions, participants will be issued with a Certificate of Completion.
